State FFA Champs! Whiteland FFA had two teams compete Saturday in the State FFA Milk Quality & Products Competition at Purdue University. We are so excited to report that one of our teams brought home the State Champion title! The team of Leorah Morris, Lillian Nick, Jack Kelsay, & Brody Polesel earned this honor and will be representing WCHS and Indiana at the National contest in October at the National FFA Convention! Please give these students a huge congratulations the next time you see them! This is the second State Champion Milk Quality & Products Team for WCHS, the last being in 2021. Thank you everyone for your support of our FFA program and Ag students. What a great way to kick off National FFA Week, which begins Sunday! 🎉

LEGO League Robotics!!! We will be hosting a Teacher/Coaches training for free for FIRST LEGO League Robotics at the Center Grove Innovation Center open to any 4th-8th grade teacher in Johnson County. Please see the attached flyer about the training. Clark-Pleasant Schools Plan for Solar Eclipse Dear Clark-Pleasant Families, We would like to make you aware that a total solar eclipse will take place April 8, 2024. This eclipse will reach across 16 states but will be most prominent in Central Indiana, especially in Johnson County. Therefore like many nearby school districts, we are making plans for a "live," synchronous E-Learning Day on 04/08/2024. We are making this decision out of an abundance of caution as the eclipse will take place in Indiana for over several hours. Additionally, we are being told by local emergency management officials that there will be a significant influx of visitors coming to Johnson County during this time period creating major concerns with transportation and congestion. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out to your respective school building administrators. 4-1st Place FFA Winners Heading to State!!! Tuesday 4 of our FFA members participated in the District FFA Proficiency Contest. This involves creating and showcasing a portfolio of skills learned through their Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) work based program in agriculture. Congratulations are in order because all 4 of these members earned 1st Place in their category and will be advancing to the State Contest! We also want to note, two of these young men are sophomores. It's rare that sophomores have enough hours and experience to win at the district level, so we are extremely proud of them! The CPMS Band had a wonderful weekend at Solo and Ensemble with over 340 students participating and all earning Gold Ratings. We had a Group 1 Brass Quintet of 8th grade students that earned a gold rating and qualified for ISSMA STATE Solo and Ensemble in a few weeks. This is a HUGE accomplishment for Middle School students. These students are Molly Ambler (trumpet), Julia Meyer (horn), Olivia Romine (trumpet), Samuel Steele (tuba), and Owen Wheeler (trombone). We are so proud of all of our student's hard work in this event.

Sectional Championship Tonight! Our Girls basketball team will be playing for a sectional title tonight at 7:30, for the first time since 2007. We would LOVE to see a huge crowd in the Glenn Ray Gym as we battle Franklin. Servant Leaders! Thursday was our January FFA Chapter Meeting and Service Project Night! We completed a new project this year making first aid kits for local farmers to keep in their truck or tractor! Johnson County Farmers, you should have seen or soon be seeing an FFA member delivering your kit. If we missed you, check your doorstep or mailbox! Huge thanks to Koenig Equipment in Franklin and the National FFA Living to Serve Mini Grant Program for making this project possible!
