It is with much excitement that we share that Mrs. Amy Grady has announced her
retirement! While this is bittersweet news for the Break-O-Day family, we are so excited
to celebrate the amazing career of Mrs. Grady! She has taught at Break-O-Day for
her entire teaching career of 31 years!
Mrs. Grady will leave a lasting impact and legacy at BES! Students look back on
their time in her classroom with fond memories, fun stories, and life-long relationships!
Many of our Break-O-Day parents were students in Mrs. Grady’s classroom! One of my
favorite stories Mrs. Grady has shared with our team is moving day into the new
Break-O-Day building. When this building was completed in 1995, Mrs. Grady was one
of the teachers who walked her students down the road from the old building carrying
their school supplies from their old desk to set up their new desks here in the new
building!
She has given so much to our school community and we are so happy for her! Please join us in many good wishes to celebrate Mrs. Amy Grady for 31 years of devoted service to our students, families, and staff! Congratulations and best wishes, Mrs. Grady!

JCPL Story Walk Celebration at Tot Park

The sky came to life for Break-O-Day students Monday & Wednesday! Students took part in a portable planetarium demonstration as part of their STEM/Library rotation. They learned how to recognize stars & planets in the night sky, which planet in our solar system is the hottest (spoiler, it’s Venus), as well as a few legends and myths connected to constellations.

It was a great day for field day! Students enjoyed being outside playing games, getting wet with water games, and dunking Mr.Holzbog (and their other favorite teachers) in the dunk tank.
